Dr. Kalam, you will remain with us forever.

27th July, 2015, very sad and shocking day for the nation. The morning of the day started with the news of terrorist attack in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district where terrorists attacked a bus and then attacked a police station in Dinanagar. Several civilians and police people got martyred in that attack. Nation was recovering from this shock and in evening nation got another shock – demise of former Indian president, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Dr. Kalam, an Indian scientist, educationalist and former president breathed last at a function in Shilong, capital of north-eastern Indian state Meghalaya. Dr. Kalam was known to be people’s president who always remained connected with Indian youth and emphasized on technical development of Indian education system to generate a team of highly efficient people capable of developing new technologies and techniques. President of India is the top administrative post of India and all Indian presidents were more administrative and constitutional and presidents had no direct link between general public. But Dr. Kalam always was connected with general pubic of the country and directed government to make emphasis on general issues faced by common man. That’s why he was known to be most loved president.

From school children to university students, from students of rural government schools to top business school’s and IIT’s students, Dr. Kalam remained connected with students before, during and after his presidency. A very simple man who never felt himself as VIP and lived like an ordinary man. Despite being a muslim, Dr. Kalam believed in all religions and according to him he always started his day by reading ‘Bhagwat Gita’, an epic of Hindu religion.

Dr. Kalam’s contribution in making India’s defence system self dependant can never be forgotten. He was the man for making various defence equipments successful that way he was often called – ‘Missile Man.’ We will follow his footsteps and the teachings he taught to the world. His smiling face always inspired people to overcome the toughest situations of life. The inspiration and motivation he enlightened the world with will be motivating us forever. So it’s not an end, we are extremely shocked but we know that no one is immortal, so we will keep his ideas, teachings alive forever.

Dr. Kalam, physically you might get away from us but you will be always near to us and you will be remembered forever. A salute from us and we pray for peace to your holy soul. Our few words will be insufficient to explain your personality and skills. We pray God to rest you in peace.
