Today, computers are used by everybody for various reasons. Small businesses need IT expertise, while many big companies have in-house IT departments, or outsource to an IT service company. Accounting, finance, manufacture, service, infrastructure and all major industries use IT software and hardware and the demand is relentlessly increasing for application so for the manpower as well. IT and IT consultancy companies are divided into three categories such as Tier – I, Tier – II and Tier – III. Tier I companies are mostly MNCs having huge turnover and client base and cater to big orginazations on large scale. TSC, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Accenture are the examples for Tier – I companies. Tier – II companies have presence in big metropolitan cities but their client base is not as big as Tier – I. Tier – III are the companies which have small manpower and the business and prefer to cater to small requirements of the clients and work on small scale. So, initial salary gets decided by joining in the particular tier but growth opportunities are huge and there is always manpower transfer between all tiers of the industry.
