These tourist spots haven’t got such popularity as that of prominent tourist spots but these places do not lack in any aspect of an ideal tourist spot for rejuvenation, comfort, amenities, facilities and accessibility. Here are some unexplored tourist destinations of the country –

Sojha – Himachal Pradesh – Sojha is a calm village located deep in the Himalayas. Sojha experiences cool weather throughout the year which makes it the perfect getaway from the scorching Indian heat. Shoja area is blessed with exceptional Himalayan beauty and is excellent for walks, treks, bird watching and a nature centric experience. The area around Shoja is part of Great Himalayan National Park. There are numerous habitats for explorations from bush forest of Oak, Conifer and Bamboo, to gentle alpine meadows; from swift flowing rivers to high alpine glaciers.

Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu – Ever wanted to visit a ghost town? Here’s your chance. Situated at the tip of Tamil Nadu, it is a town which holds a rich religious value. It is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is situated to the South-East of Pamban and is about 18 miles (29 km) west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath. According to the Hindu epic Ramayana, Lord Rama built a bridge to connect India and Sri Lanka, in order to carry his troops. Rama marked the spot for the bridge with one end of his bow which later became Dhanushkodi meaning end of the bow.

The spellbinding beauty of Yuksom can’t be easily defined in simple words. Yuksom is historic, charming and unspoilt, a real gateway for those who want to avoid the hustle-bustle of a city.

These are some places which you might have not heard as a tourist destination but if you are an explorist and want to discover the ways to rejuvenate yourself within a budget, these destinations can surely be an ideal place for holidaying upon.
