Tech Discovery, technical workshop by Edlive Technologies, Chandigarh was organized at Uttranchal University, Dehradun on Dot Net technology. The event was attended by B.Tech CSE/IT students of the univesity. Necessitating the need of such workshops, Project Manager of Edlive Technologies, Mr. M S Maan told students about importance of such workshops to keep their knowledge and skills updated with industry standards. There are very fast changes in the industry whereas such changes are not made in education and university syllabus. This makes a disconnection between education and any particular industry. Such workshop can link students with latest trends in the industry and making the student’s vision clear about thier career goals.

Contents of the workshop were delivered by Mr. Krishna Prajapati, Mr. Sanjeet Singh Rautela and Mr. Nischaya Gupta, all experts from Edlive Technologies.

Sanjeet Singh Rautela explained the topic details of Dot Net technology and various programming languages under Dot Net tree. He also explained detailed working environment of Dot Net programming languages and software development stages of the applications developed by Dot Net technology.

Krishna Prajapati demonstrated students with practical implementation by developing some small applications using Dot Net tools. It’s not easy for students to learn only by imparting theoretical contents unless something is practically implemented. All participants attentively listened and observed practical implementation of the technology.

Nischaya Gupta discussed latest market trends in IT industry and career opportunities for those who opt Dot Net technology. He explained how widely is Dot Net being used in various fields like ERP development, Mobile Applications, Cloud Computing, Big Data Services and other IT applications development. Students were also made aware of carrer opportunities in IT industry as an employee as well as an entrepreneur or freelancer.

These words might not be as sufficient to explain the impact of workshop than the feedback of the participants. The students who attended the workshop highly appreciated this workshop and suggested the requirement of such activities at least once in a month apart from the university curriculum. Training and Placement Department has forwarded these feedbacks and suggestions to higher authorities to schedule such knowledgeable workshops for all courses.
Mr. Maan told that only mission to conduct such workshops is to enlighten the students with knowledge and skills to make them clear their career goals before they complete their studies.
