Indian airports have outclassed various famous world airports. Know the fresh stats.

Days are gone when Indian airports were in so ugly shape that people could not believe that they were at any international airport. Improper signs, not well maintained restrooms, dirty floors, people lying on the floor of waiting areas due to inadequate waiting areas, strains on walls and floor were common at various entry points of the country which projected an ugly picture of the country to the foreign visitors. But situation has not only changed but drastically has become opposite to the previous one in last few years.

Various Indian airports have been ranked under top 10 best airports in the world in terms of facilities, services, beautification, cleanliness etc. Various Indian airports have surpassed world famous airports like London Heathrow, Paris Charles De Gaulle airport, Frankfurt and others. A recent survey conducted by the Airports Council International reveals various statics about the international airports. Waiting time in security lines, the helpfulness of staff, and the thoroughness of security checks were among the major parameters used by the Airports Council International.

Staff at Mumbai’s airport was ranked the most courteous (4.77 out of a possible 5), with Delhi close behind (4.76) and then Hyderabad (4.63).

In contrast, staff at London’s Heathrow placed at 4.08 and Frankfurt in Germany scored just 3.66.

Mumbai was also found, in the Airport Service Quality Service, to offer the best waiting time for security checks (it scored 4.78) while Hyderabad was next (4.63).

Security services, personnel’s assistance to passengers in security checks, getting their boarding and disembarking, baggage collection, staff assistance etc. have improved and lot. Airport staff’s promptness to address to any issue or concern faced by passengers have also improved.

Another improvement at the airports has been witnessed on the efficient landings and takeoffs at the runways as multiple takeoffs and landings are possible after expansions and upgradations of the runways. Even at the peak flight hours at domestic and international terminals, the congestion at the airports has been reduced proving smooth operations at the airport. Hyderabad won best in class in not just India but the world for the category that traffics 5 to 15 million passengers every year.

So, here we have known how much improvements have been witnessed at Indian airports, now it’s our responsibility to help authorities to maintain the glory achieved by the airports.
