Strengthen war against filth by joining “Clean India Campaign.”

Untitled-2

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October, 2014, union government will launch an ambitious Clean India Drive (Swacha Bharat Abhiyan) and same will be kicked off by Prime Minister of India and all ministers in his cabinet by sweeping at various govt. establishments. The campaign is being executed by Modi’s intent to create a national movement over the next five years to realize the objective of ‘clean India’ by October 2, 2019, the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. This is a great initiative from the government as India has an image of dirty and filthy country worldwide. Millions of people in India live in unhygienic conditions and we can see heaps of garbage and filth near all residential, institutional, medical & commercial areas.

So, this campaign should not be restricted to a day but should be an eternal process because human activities will be generating garbage & human waste and it’s proper management & disposal becomes everybody’s responsibility, so we cannot put all responsibilities on authorities. When we do not allow even a single particle of dirt to enter our house, we clean our house every day, so same should be done at public places as well.

Many big corporate such as Tata, Bharti Telemedia, Aditya Birla Group, Reliance Industries have joined this campaign with an initiative to build toilets at schools. This is an appreciated step from corporate world but maintaining these toilets will be school authority’s responsibility as we all need to support this campaign to be successful. I request all citizens of the country to boost this campaign and join war against filth by keeping all public places clean and not to spread litter at public places like bus stand, railway station, parks, historical monuments, tourist destinations, religious places.

It’s in our hand to keep our country clean & hygienic if we consider every place like our home. Let’s all strengthen “Swacha Bharat Abhiyan” and contribute towards India’s image of a beautiful country and make the environment clear. Of course by doing this we will be making a better healthy environment for our coming generation where our present generation is struggling for hygienic water, atmosphere etc.
